It was 5.30am on a very wet and windy Sunday morning in February, we fired up the VW Transporter and headed for Enfield via the M25, Junction 25 off the M25 and soon we were at the back of the queue.

The security were quick and efficient and we soon found a suitable place outside the exhibition hall to unload and get our stand ready for the day.

Inside the hall we soon found our allocated table, and looked at some of the very impressive signs on the walls of the hall, I was informed that these belong to a member who loans them for display in the museum.

We introduced ourselves to our neighbours for the day and by 7.30 we had our first visitor and we had a constant stream of visitors and enquiries, and I handed out more than 80 Q&S flyers, I hope that you got one.

1 bacon roll and 2 teas later, the people who had outside pitches were starting to pack away their stuff at 2.00pm so we decided to do the same.

It was a very worthwhile exercise for us, our very first venture out into the public domain, we made some new acquaintances including the chaps from MODERN DAY CLASSICS, and we sold 5 of our stock signs, and if we met I hope that our paths will cross again very soon.
