Although my mis-spent youth was spent riding motorcycles, starting with a 250cc Royal Enfield Crusader, moving on to a 250cc Honda K3 and ending with a 750cc Triumph Bonneville.

Until recently my knowledge of American motorcycles was limited to the brands Harley Davidson, a friend of mine had the first ever 1200cc Low Rider to be Imported into the UK , by Coburn & Hughes in Luton, and Buell the sportier American V twin.

After spending many hours watching Mike and Frank on ‘ American Pickers‘ I had my eyes opened to the Indian Motorcycle brand, these all American motorcycles were built in Springfield, Massachusetts from 1901 – 1953, powerful V twins with names like Chief and Scout, they were favored by the American military.

Those of us who choose to collect original, genuine and vintage signs, know that motorcycle memorabilia is as rare as hens teeth.
I am always looking for anything motorcycle related, so it was with excitement that through an advertisement in a Classic Car magazine I found Keith, Keith is a retired skilled craftsman who reproduces classic signage using wood.

When the logo arrived I could not believe how much care had been taken to pack the sign, I was so impressed with the accuracy, the detail, and the finish of this logo.

My very first conversation with Keith, I tentatively enquired if he had ever made any motorcycle related signs, and he said that he just finished an Indian Motorcycle logo, and before I new it, I had bought the logo, and Keith was busy arranging delivery, when the logo arrived I could not believe how much care had been taken to pack the sign, I was so impressed with the accuracy, the detail, and the finish of this logo.

If you are a collector, an admirer, or an owner of the Indian Motorcycle brand this unique collectors item is for you.
