A very early start on Saturday 17th June, to head West to Yeovil , Somerset the home of the renowned Haynes Motor Museum.
We joined the other exhibitors queuing at the main entrance ready for a 6am entry and set up. A very mixed selection of “Autojumblers” set up, and started to trade until at about 2pm despite the forecast it started to rain, I and many others decided
to call it a day.
I only managed to sell two signs, a “ROLEX” watch sign to a neighbour and a very genuine “TEXACO MARINE FUELS” sign. We loaded the van and set off back up the A303, past Stonehenge, and looking for the M3, just before Reading the Highways Agency decided to Close the M3 and we headed cross country to find the M4.
A long day, made more difficult by Highways England, who had without notice closed the M25 in the morning, sending us down the M4 when we wanted to be going down the M3, the joys of the Autojumble.
Have a good Summer one and All
